20% of all salespeople in recruitment sell 80% of all the deals.

From this 20% another 20% is doing 80% of all those deals.

It means that 4% of all salespeople in recruitment do 64% of all the deals in the staffing industry.

That’s 4 salespeople out of 100 doing two-third of all the business. Wow!

If you want to be part of this small 4% group I think you can. And it is not that very difficult either.

First, you will need to have your basics right. Just 3 things. Simple and easy. And believe it or not, most salespeople totally miss out on these:

  1. Study sales every day (Jeffrey Gitomer, Brian Tracy, Anthony Robbins, I love Marketing, The Tim Ferris Show, etc.)
  2. Set your short-, mid- and long-term sales goals
  3. Have a prospect list of at least 400 companies and from this 10 % of prospects which you will convert into clients within 12 months from now

And a bonus: plan your activities into detail: per hour, for the day, for the week, for the month and the quarter combined with goals to have achieved after each day, week, month, quarter and year (and don’t only plan them, also do them).

If you will do only these things you will quickly find yourself among the top 4% in the recruitment business.

Isn’t that cool?
