Two discussions with 2 of my colleagues in Sales.
They both love to be very successful in sales. They love their jobs in sales.
But they are, according to my opinion, delivering just at a poor 20% of their potential.
How come?
- They think they have no time to do sales 🙂
- They are so busy with other stuff, they can’t approach prospects
- They have no daily plan and if they have a plan they have no discipline to execute it
- They don’t have a target list of prospects, and if they have it, they don’w work this list
And this should sound familiar for 90% of sales professionals.
The biggest success determinator for big successes in sales is:
- Have a target prospect list of at least 400 companies
- Spend every day at least 2 hours approaching these companies
- Do not compromise these 2 hours, no matter what
Sales people also want to eat good, right? So take action and do these simple things.
That is all you need for incredible success in sales. And guess what. One of this two colleagues sticks for 50% to the 2 hour discipline and guess what? He sees his sales growing bit by bit each month….what a surprise:-)))))
Everybody will see the light when they are ready for it…… and it is incredible but:
Being successful in sales is so incredible simple and that is probably the reason why so many sales people are just plain average and always struggling to make a decent living.
Cheers
Gerard
