When you are in the middle of complex recruitment projects you can easily overlook the simple and easy solutions.
A colleague from us in Ukraine asked to have the full LinkedIn package so she could contact candidates with in-mail unlimited. But she doesn’t have the budget for it and she has the feeling that without it she can’t do her job very good.
When we suggested her to call the selected candidates she was surprised. She just didn’t think of it. It never occurred to her that she could call the person to his or her work. When you have the company name, the person’s name: what is easier to google the number and call?
Another colleague in Slovakia had a target list of candidates to be contacted. Name, phone number and e-mail. She send everybody a couple of e-mails but more than half didn’t respond. She gave up on those thinking they were not interested.
When she got the tip to call these candidates she was surprised by the positive outcome.
A simple phone call does miracles in recruitment.
